I am having the worst time staying awake during work, so I thought I'd do a little research and find ways to increase my energy throughout my LONG workday. So, instead of putting my report together, here I am. I hope you all get as much out of these tips as I did:
I've read that one apple will give you the energy equivalent to one cup of coffee. Even if that may not be true, it is worth a shot, right?
Drink more water.
Take time to stretch. Take a few minutes when you are feeling a bit sluggish to stretch and get the blood flowing. This actually really rejuvenates me.
Walk around on your breaks and on your lunch hour. I find that if I go walking instead of taking a nap during my breaks, I have more energy and am more awake.
Sometimes when I am really drowsy, I take Zantrex. This little energy pill gives me enough energy to get through my workday, my workout, and my online grad school courses at night. It is pretty much a miracle worker.
Let more natural sunlight into your office. When it is dark, it makes you more sleepy. I know it is tempting to turn off the lights, but try to avoid it. Believe me! It doesn't help improve energy levels.
Very good ideas! I agree!
